PRESTON and Lancashire

Lancashire

From a Bus station to Clitheroe Castle - a ruined early medieval castle. From a beautiful square in front of the Harris Museum in Preston to the Jubilee tower, the octagonal tower on Darwen Hill overlooking the town of Darwen. Ironically it was the Preston Bus Station that drew Ian to a book launch in New York a couple of years ago. The famous Brutalist building was voted Preston’s favourite building. The Jubilee Tower was completed in 1898 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee while Clitheroe Castle has seen much of history dating from the Norman times. In the last weeks the North West have been the hardest hit with this pandemic and we think of all there.
