Devon still claps
The show goes on
The clapping may have been officially ended (we doubt it fully!) but this weekend Plymouth, Brixham, and Torquay shone with it and the English Riviera. The docks, Royal Artillery Gate and Smeaton’s Tower glowed in Plymouth, while the harbours at Toquay and Brixham could be seen with the clapping Hands by Ian Berry.
The good will must go on
While we acknowledge the clapping got consumed in to political debate, we also believe many people want to show their gratitude to those helping us get through this. While there are still plans for a few more projections here in the UK. they will now be more on other shores.
Royal Artillery Gate Plymouth
Smeaton's Tower, Plymouth
A centerpiece on Plymouth's Hoe, the Tower has become one of the South West's most well-known landmarks.
Standing at 72 foot high, Smeaton's Tower offers fantastic views of Plymouth Sound and the city from its lantern room which, along with the rest of the building, has been painstakingly restored to its original glory.
